A Scenic Tour of Pretoria / Tshwane
Departing on tour we head for the suburb of Waterkloof, down Johann Rissik Avenue to an elevated view point from where we view Pretoria and surround. Continuing en route, look out for Zebra, Tssebe and even Giraffe as we pass through a nature reserve en route to the Voortrekker Monument. The Voortrekker Monument takes us back in time commemorating the Great Trek of the early pioneers who conquered the interior of South Africa.
Following on our tour of the Voortrekker Monument, we move to Down Town Pretoria, view President Paul Kruger’s house, pass by Church Square and Melrose House (where signing of the peace treaty took place after the 2nd South African war) to admire the Union Buildings, office of South Africa’s President. Returning home, we pass by Loftus Versfeld rugby stadium, home of the Blue Bulls rugby team.
Enjoy a fantastic tour of the Capital City of South Africa.
